Went to a wedding reception here. I didn't get my dinner plate. When I asked about it they said I would gave it in a couple minutes. 10 minutes later still no plate. I then went to the server station and was explained that they ran out of dinners and were making me one fresh. A few minutes later I got a plate of cold food and returned it right away. Ended up having to share my daughter's kids meal. The manager Alex was very rude and wouldn't let me have a word in and when I kept trying to explain to my friend's who was the mother of the bride, he continued to cut me off. I found out I was not the only one who didn't get a meal, but also that the bride and groom ordered chicken marsala and they served lemon chicken. Also couldn't communicate with many wait staff members add they didn't speak English. I would not recommend for a wedding reception and after dealing with the manager wouldn't recommend the restaurant either.

I went only for convenience and that's nearly all I got. Dinner's pasta primavera was so bland (frozen vegs thrown in with thick, bland alfredo sauce) that I couldn't finish it, and the service was mediocre. Breakfast was better, but still a little flawed: I wanted veggies, so I ordered their vegan skillet. The (more attentive than dinner) server informed me that they were out of tofu cheese and asked if I'd like American, cheddar, or provolone. Seemed an odd question to ask about a vegan dish. But the skillet had lots more flavor than the previous dinner, and came with a generous fruit plate. I'd eat here out of necessity, but avoid vegetables after breakfast if you actually want them to have flavor. (On a side note, the staff in the restaurant are at least more courteous than those in the adjacent hotel.)

This restaurant is part of the 4Points Sheraton hotel and conference center in Chicago. I wouldn't go so far to say the Mirage is "old" but it does have an "older style" and feel to it. The bar area is dark, and on most evenings filled with businessmen and woman that happen to be passing thru, chatting up a storm. They do offer free appetizers during happy hour . The menu has good variety, and as I said,,,,has kind of a 1980's feel to it in layout and offerings, which span from a few steaks, to burgers, pasta, salads and more. The fettucini with chicken was tasty, and a generally large portion. The desserts were above par and did leave even this fat kid full. The staff was attentive, but not overly so and along with the menu...the décor was simple, clean...yet screamed to me that it had not been updated since I was too young to appreciate a Chicago winter. Not to sound like the Mirage was doing something wrong...but being part of a hotel as massive as this one, I think that with a little push, maybe a little modern flair, they could be a must stop for more than just hotel guests.

Great Service, the food was reasonable priced and very large portions. Ambiance isn't great, very much like a hotel unfortunately but the food and service made up fpr it

Our wedding was april 12, Mirage was just unbelievably professional and a dream to have our wedding there. Leading up to the wedding we primarily worked with Violeta, she is so helpful. From the initial tasting to the final details, Mirage absolutely made us feel like a priority. Communication was never an issue even when Violet was not in the office, she either emailed me very quickly or someone was always there to assist. On the day of the wedding is where we really saw how much they cared about us and our guests. In the morning they allowed our vendors to set up and were very accommodating to working together. Our parents had lunch in the Mirage while the bridal party went offsite for photos, the lunch and service was amazing, and our parents were pleased. On to the wedding, the compliments of dinner just kept coming and coming throughout the night! Wait staff was very polite , bartenders were efficient, and we even had Jimmy the banquet manager coming by every table to see how things were and if we needed anything! Everyone catered to us and our guests, we are just so happy and still glowing with the effects of marriage ofcourse, but also choosing Mirage for our big day! We wouldnt change a thing and we want you to know from the bottom of our hearts we appreciate all that was done to make this day a day we never forget! MUCH LOVE MIRAGE STAFF & FOUR POINTS!!! Came here just because it was attached to our hotel. Mediocre food and okay service. Would not recommend it, but it's fine if you have to.

I had my wedding here. The catering manager- Violeta was sooo helpful. She replied to all my emails quickly and was extremely helpful. My guests complimented on the good food, the nice venue. During the reception, the captain Dorothy and Jimmy, the night time manager, were extremely helpful and great. Our wedding was magical. Pro's: they had no problem with setting up my own centerpieces and personal touches (wedding signs, outside vendors, etc). they were very accommodating the food is good for an excellent price. nothing was dry. i had three meal option choices that were pre-selected but heard that guests for requesting to switch and they had no problem! the people there are all genuinely very sweet and helpful. the drinks made were yum and not watered down. they gave us free mimosas when we ate breakfast who guests who stayed. excellent hotel rates for guests who stayed. they sent a thank you card along with a gift card to their restaurant! con's: they provide a wedding cake with the package which is great but i thought the cake was a bit dry. they do include a dessert and everybody loved the hazelnut ice cream. only suggestion is to switch to another bakery. definitely recommend them!

Ate here once while staying in the hotel, and the service is good, and the food was good. I had the salmon, and it came with potatoes, and steamed veggies. Along with a Caesar salad. All that totaled was around $12, which isn't so bad. The waitress was attentive and was our food was served relatively quickly. The atmosphere was open and bright, and large. It's surprisingly larger than it looks from the outside of the building. A good spot to consider to eat at, given the convenience of right inside of the 4-Points Hotel.

About all I can say about this place is that it's convenient if you happen to be staying at the Sheratin 4 Points. It's attached to the hotel. The burger was inexpensive but really greasy and didn't come with fries. Service was just OK.

After searching for places to eat while my car was being repaired, I stumbled across this place. It feels like the restaurant is going through an identity crisis though. On one hand, it's decor is very 1980s feeling, which would be cool. But this is 1980s southern Florida looking. Then the restaurant tries to serve gourmet style food. I'll give them the food, it was delicious. Though my chicken needed to be toned down on the garlic. And please update the interior! Other than that, the service was efficient and friendly. The prices are typical considering the area. An extra star for the floor manager who was hot and loved the White Sox. Yes kiddies, that does matter.

I mean, how good can a Sheraton restaurant be?? Pretty dang good it turns out. So I had two breakfasts here this week. Pretty decent breakfast menu (quite a few omelets & b'fast sandwiches in addition to the standard egg combo plates). This is definitely greasy food...expect a rumble in the Bronx for sure... but lightning fast and cheap. A-ok in my book. And screw it, they get an extra star for doing eggs over med-well right. Probably not worth driving to, but for those staying near o'hare - solid breakfast eats. :)

Good Food, Steep Prices Its in the Four Points Hotel ( yelp.com/biz/four-points… ). The service here was really good and so was the food. I don't really know if the food was REALLY that expensive or due to the situation I was in, I was feeling particularly cheap ( yelp.com/biz/american-ai… ). Anyway, I had the shrimp cocktail and New England clamp chowder, which I both highly recommend. Eating here and staying at the Four Points were the best parts of my short lived time in Chicago. Hopefully next time it will be there under far better circumstances.

We ate here a couple times during our weekend in Chicago. During our breakfast the waitress was very helpful, changing our order so that we saved a couple dollars on our entrees. I gave her mad props for that as she didn't have to do that. Our breakfast was A-OK, nothing special, just about what you would expect from french toast and pancakes. Dinner was a little different experience. There was nothing bad about dinner, just about what you would expect from hotel restaurant food. It took some real hunting on the menu before I found something that I thought sounded good. I went with the fried shrimp, thinking you can't mess that up too much and I was right. The shrimp was decent, nothing spectacular, but I was not expecting spectacular. The service was not as good as what we had during our breakfast meal but it was adequate. There was nothing wrong with the food here, it was A-OK, but it was definitely nothing special. It will do in a pinch, or if you are too tired to venture out but I would suggest that you venture out at least once.

Very good restaurant located in the Four Points hotel. Good food, nice lounge, not very expensive. European run, friendly.

We ate here a few weeks ago while staying overnight at the Four Points by Sheraton. It was a Friday night and the place was very quiet, no big crowd. I have to honestly say that our overall experience was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly as our request. I hate going to a restaurant and asking for a steak cooked medium and the freaking thing is red. This was not the case. The appetizers were even cooked to perfection. The waiter was amazing and courteous as was the manager. The menu consists of steak, burgers, shrimp, etc, so it is a great place for a family meal. The dress is casual, so no need for suit and tie.

You can't expect spectacular Atlantic Salmon in Chicago, but it was a little below my expectations here. Worse, the green beans tasted like burned plastic. How do you mess up green beans? Service was good. Just don't get the fish.

Fall 2010 Wedding. Employees were very helpful and courteous up to the day of my wedding. The day before my wedding, i had came by to drop off linens and accessories for the room. All of my items where labeled with my name and my husbands name along with our wedding date. I provided my own tealights and candles along with diamond shaped jewels to decorate the cake table. I was assured that I would receive everything back the day after the wedding. I also had a florist come and decorate the reception room with cylinder vases and flowers. On the day of the wedding, the reception hall was beautiful they did a magnificent job decorating and presentation was beautiful. The food was awesome, we had so many compliments about the food, but several of the wait staff smelled like cigarette smoke which was not acceptable. The Sheraton provided an overnight stay after the reception. The day after the wedding we went down to get our belongings. We only received half the items back. After waiting several hours for the manager, we finally received our tealights back. Nothing was given back the way we brought it in and I never received my diamond shaped jewels back either. We never received an apology. They are very disorganized where they keep your belongings... although the food is good.

I was in Chicago for work and the weather was horrible and I didn't want to drive too far for dinner so I asked the front desk person where a good place to go. He told me about this place and it was less than a mile from me so I am a happy camper. I drive up to the place and from the outside it looks like a place that only people over 65 would go and I thought to myself - live with it. I go in and was greeted immediately by this very nice gentleman and I get seated right away. I am reviewing the menu and tilapia is one of specials and the waitress who was very nice tells me it is the best thing on the list today so I go ahead and order it. I ordered this shrimp appetizer which was not cheap $9 but it was very good. Had a salad as well and it was good. The main course came out and it was a huge piece of fish, one piece of broccoli, caultflower and two pieces of carrot and my baked potato. Overall the food was very good and so I was very surprised and happy it wasn't a scary experience. So if you are near the Ohare airport and want to get an affordable dinner then give this place a try.

I ate here twice for breakfast and twice for dinner during our stay. The service was always efficient and really friendly. Especially the dinner service in particular. The breakfast was ok. I just got eggs which is pretty hard to mess up. My fiancé a bagel and eggs another morning and she was happy with hers. The dinner was also good. I got the New York strip both nights and while it was good both nights, the second happened to be one of the best on this trip. I would say the closest I've had in the north east to the steaks you get in Texan steakhouses. My fiancé got the salmon which was also really good. The sides were also a nice addition to the main meals too. I think this restaurant is very fairly priced for the care they put into their dinners. I have no hesitation in recommending.

I truly don't get what everyone sees in this restaurant. We were staying at this crummy hotel (see my other review) and went to the restaurant due to the convenience. First, we had breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict. The potato hash it came with was so cold that when I put some butter on it, it would not melt. The hollandaise sauce was bland, it needed more zing and salt. Then we we t down for lunch hoping it would be better. I had the turkey BLT on Croissant... That too was bland that I had to add ranch to give it a little bit more taste. The fries were just OK, looks like it came from a frozen bag. The one star comes from the midnight snack, we ordered room service of Mirage special (16" pizza w/ pitcher of soda). The pizza was good, seems fresh.....BUT, either the server or the hotel over charged us... The special was supposed to be $17.95, but we received a $25 bill... They charged 7% tax, plus 18% gratuity plus $1.50 service charge, PLUS tip? What?

We had our wedding at The Mirage at Sheraton Four Points on 9/5/2015 and it was AMAZING!!!!!! We worked with Violeta for all the planning and details and she was the best! Very professional, very accommodating, and very efficient especially at responding to emails and phone calls!! From the initial stages of planning, to the tasting, and to the final details, The Mirage absolutely made us feel like a priority. We had outside vendors for flowers, photo booth, Polish sausage hut and the staff worked so well with all of these vendors and the setup was flawless! The cake and sweet table came from Sugar Hills Bakery which was FANTASTIC!!! We kept getting compliments all night on how beautiful the room looked, how good the food was, and how wonderful the sweet table and cake was! Wait staff was polite and did a great job. The bartenders were efficient and made great drinks! We had a lot of people stay in the hotel and we were able to keep opening up more rooms after the initial ones in our package were booked. All in all everyone had a BLAST and we wouldn't change anything about the entire process and would like to thank the mirage for the absolute best wedding we could have ever imagined!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! Love, Kasia & Eric Schultz

So it's difficult to describe my experience here, unless you're familiar with the local Chicagoland area. With that being said, it's basically "Perkins" by the airport. It's damn near the exact same, minus the name. I give it 3 stars for the friendly staff and the fact that it's apart of the hotel. If I had to drive here or go out of my way to get here... well I'll just say it's nothing fancy. It's not horrible.. it's just A-OK.

For a hotel restaurant I guess I shoulda lowered my standards. But alas, I didn't. I expected good comfort foods, and got bar food. The servers mostly are from Eastern Europe. Thick accents. A bit hard to understand and somewhat rude. The menu was fairly pricy for the type of food likely to come out. Fresh octopus was on the menu. Last I checked, Schiller Park is nowhere near the ocean. $25 for a steak - I've had some of the best cuts for $30, so no. Best to leave the hotel and head to a restaurant like Gibson's or somewhere in Rosemont

Pretty good considering they're inside a crummy hotel. Pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. Staff are uber polite and extremely attentive. The bar had drinks. I had the Mirage wings and a Stoli and Cran. The wings were delicious and the drink was decent. I also ordered a piece of chocolate cake, which was FANTASTIC. I just gained like 9.25 lbs omg.

I had my wedding reception here and don't get me wrong the hall was beautiful. The wait staff was unfriendly. The Manager was no where to be found for complaints. The food was HORRIBLE. We did a tasting and what we received was not what we had at the reception. So much food was wasted from guest not eating. They are not very professional and very rude when confronted with issues. From my experience I would use the hall but bring in food from somewhere else.

You get a lot of bang for your buck at this restaurant. It has a midwest meat and potatoes type of menu and everything I've tried here is good. I had the Chicken Marsala. It's definitely cooked with a healthy portion of butter and in no way skimps on the calories. It came with a mixed green salad (this made me feel better), a basket of bread (this made me feel worse) and a plate full of mashed potatoes. For dessert I decided to celebrate anyone whose birthday was today by having a piece of chocolate cake. Really good cake... The portions here are generous. I tend to have a rather large appetite and I'll often walk away feeling like I got the kids portion. I pretty much rolled away from the table here. The wait staff here is very cordial and attentive. Emily is an absolute sweetheart - the kind of person you'd wish you had working for you if you had your own restaurant. This restaurant sits within the Four Points Sheraton and after this meal I'm grateful for their treadmill.

Their Sunday brunch buffet has dwindled down to a subpar buffet from years past. It is no longer worth the money spent. Today's menu only consists of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, french toast, toast and fruit.

Located in the Sheraton 4 points a 7 minute ride in their hotel van from the airport. The menu is diverse with three specials everyday. I order the Slim Chicken for lunch. It is a large portion yet relatively healthy in content. The service here is awesome and unpretentious.

Yum. Alright, the food was great. It was. I just am not inclined to give a full 5. I had chicken, beef and mashed potatoes. Along with cream of chicken and rice soup. The soup was delicious. Simple, nothing extravagant. The chicken had a weird creamy gravy. It was not a stand-out. On the other hand, I had a beef dish with the tenderness of a pot roast. It was amazing. It was tender, delicious. I could not get enough of it. The mashed potatoes...wow. I think they must have had cream or cheese mixed in. The flavor was explosive and the smoothness was amazing. It was a simple meal served with a side of broccoli but it was delicious. I appreciate good service and a good meal. It does not have to be fancy to be impressive. So if you are looking for a simple night out, then head to the Mirage.

We were rushed to eat our food. The waitresses take them even before we were done eating. We told this waitress that we weren't done yet and she still took the plate still full of food. Their food is good, but very bad service. Rude!

    (2)
  • Glen G.

The service is slow and the good is just okay. We came here for a meeting and the is really run down. They need to upgrade and update. They just stick the water and coffee pitcher on the table and forget about you. It is like a diner not a hotel restaurant. I gave it an extra star because hostess is beautiful.

    (2)
  • Ashwini B.

I just had a few drinks at the bar. The service, staff and the prices were all reasonable. I was on a business trip and would go back if staying at the same hotel

Feels more like a run down diner then a hotel restaurant then again the hotel felt more like a Motel 8. Carpet needs cleaning, perhaps the smell would go awa!!! Had the grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms & mozzarella cheese. The chicken didn't taste seasoned at all, had to put lots of ketchup on it. Funny how the customer near me commented that her meal was too salty?!?! Would definitely pay for a taxi to eat elsewhere if I ever have to stay here again...which I don't plan on ever doing!!! Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because Peter was a great server too bad he doesn't have a work place more deserving of him.

5 star food at a 3 star restaurant. Ambiance is dated but food is excellent. Greek bartender explained that the cook is Greek as well and takes good care to prepare food with quality ingredients. Ordered cream of potato soup, chicken Dijonaise with mashed potatoes and vegetables. All surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant.
